Peggy Brinker Watts, 72 of Brookport, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Southgate Health Care Center.

Peggy was a graduate of SIU Carbondale with a degree in education and worked at a day care in her early years. Later, she became a pharmacy technician and worked at The Medicine Chest, Rick's Pharmacy and G & O Pharmacy. Peggy was a member of St. Johns Church and was an avid reader and knitter. Antique hunting was also a favorite pastime.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, October 14, 2022 at St. Johns Church on Waldo Church Road with Jeff Bremer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Peggy is survived by one son, Tyson Watts; one daughter-in-law, Reba Reed; 6 grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Yates and Patty Waynick (Linn); several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd "Butch" and Dimple (Butterfield) Brinker; one sister, Amy Sherman; one son, Adam Brinker.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the funeral at 12 noon on Friday, October 14, 2022 at St. Johns Church.

Memorials may be given in Peggy's name to St. Johns Church Cemetery Fund P.O. Box 314, Metropolis, IL 62960.

Pallbearers will be Drake Brinker, Reba Reed, Bruce Eckenberg, David Eckenberg, Scott Darnell, and Linn Waynick
