Patricia Ann Monday, 81 of Metropolis, IL, passed away at 5:11 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Heartland Medical Regional Center in Marion, IL. She was born on April 27th, 1943 to Ernest Tanner and Anne Tanner (Rutledge).

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Bro. Justin Wolfe officiating. There will be no visitation. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Patricia was of Methodist faith and a member of the American Legion along with her late husband Glen. She was known for her passion for painting, reading and loved Elvis Presley's music. She was known for her lively sense of humor and playful pranks and was a joy to be around. Her laughter and playful nature brought smiles to all who knew her. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories and bonds that will be cherished forever.

Patricia is survived by her uncle, Bill Tanner (Evelyn); aunt, Deloris Tanner; two nephews, Chris Tanner and Michael Tanner; several cousins, Chris Tanner, Gerald Tanner, Rick Tanner, Steve Tanner, Lisa Sternberg, Brian Tanner, Brenda Tanner, Bonnie Yates; special friends, Sharon Glass and Pat Blackwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Anne (Rutledge) Tanner husband, Glen Monday; two brothers, Timothy Tanner and Mickey Tanner.
