Orval Henderson, 88 of Grantsburg, IL, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Orval retired from Laidlaw as a mechanical engineer who was supervisor of the machinists. He loved riding motorcycles and could fix anything and liked to show you how to fix it. His biggest passion though, was his wife, Jeraldine, who he lovingly referred to as his "Sweetie".

Orval is survived by two sisters, Reba Dvorak and husband Wally and Ina Mae Lindsey; his children, Jim Henderson and wife Megan, Kenny Henderson and wife Ann, John Henderson and wife Teresa, Dan Henderson and wife Jalayne, Diana Henderson and Mark Henderson; 11 grandchildren, Kendell Henderson, Briella Henderson, Lex Henderson, Jeremy Adams, Mikki Jo Adams, Eve Kotter, Barry Henderson, Brian Henderson, Kelly Howard, Lindsey Layne and Alesha Hans; several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Helen (Staton) Henderson; wife, Jeraldine Henderson; one son, Joe Henderson; and two brothers, Everett Henderson and Roger Henderson.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 10 am until 12 noon at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Cagle Cemetery in Samoth, IL with Rev. Frank Forthman Jr. officiating.
