Oma Della Cochrane, age 94 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:02 pm on Friday, May 27, 2016 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Bro. Gary Cruse will officiate. Oma was of the Baptist faith. Oma is survived by her daughter, Maxine Lelivelt and husband Thomas of Milwaukee, WI; 2 sisters, Elsie Mae Green of Tarpon, FL and Parilee Foster of Metropolis, IL; caregivers, Michael Wright and wife Julieanna of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews. Oma was preceded in death by her parents, William Lacy & Oma A. (Settles) Roberts; husband of 60 years, Norman K. "Red" Cochrane; sister, Edith Zelke; brother, Rev. Lacy Roberts and wife Anne; several ½ brothers and sisters. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the services. Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis is in charge of arrangements.
