Norman Ellerbusch, 86 of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Mercy Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy A. Bean officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Norman was a Navy veteran and a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. He worked for Trunkline Gas in both Tuscola and Joppa for 35 years before retiring. Norman was lovingly known by many in the community as "Uncle Norman", whether it was by blood or not. He enjoyed his church and church family but what he loved most was being a grandpa.

Norman is survived by his son, Steve Ellerbusch and wife, Deena; two grandchildren, Ashlee Ginther, and husband Brad, and Paul Ellerbusch; one brother, Marvin Ellerbusch and wife, Diane; brother-in-law, Gene Myrick; nieces and nephews, Joyce Melcher, Janet Burnett, Debora Reagor, Ben Schmidt, Charlie Schmidt, Eddie Schmidt, Randy Myrick, Tina Rushing, David Heal, Jerry Lee Heal, Alan Heal and Diane Kline.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lydia (Logeman) Ellerbusch; wife, Barbara Ellerbusch; sister and brother-in-law, Velma Lee and Adlai Schmidt; and brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Mildred Ellerbusch.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home.
