Norma Varvel, age 66 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 2:36 am on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Otterbein Cemetery in Pope County, Illinois with Rev. Jeremy Beggs and Rev. Cornell Shackelford officiating.

Norma was a member of Northside Church of God in Paducah, KY.

Norma is survived by her son, Gary Varvel and wife Kaycee of Brookport; granddaughter, Bethany Varvel of Metropolis; great grandson, Trevon Farrington of Metropolis; sisters, Peggy Fairfield and husband Roy, Annie Harris and husband Darrel all of Brookport; several nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Lillian (Blomer) Burrus Jr.; husband, Gary Varvel; daughter, Mary Varvel; sister, Gail Galbraith; brothers, Jimmie Burrus, Jackie Joe Burrus, Donald Burrus.

Family visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be the Ram Rods Motorcycle Club.
