Norma Lee (Jeffords) Oliver, age 82 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:10 am on Friday, June 5, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Lutheran Church of the Cross with Rev. David Deem officiating. Burial will follow in Round Springs Cemetery.
Norma was Office Manager for several Doctor’s offices including Dr. Miller, Dr. Patel, and Dr. Bremer. She also worked at Harrah’s Casino and Miller Funeral Home. She was member of Lutheran Church of the Cross, where she was involved with WELCA and Crosseyed Readers.
Norma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dan Oliver; daughter, Kimberly Futrell; son, David Oliver and partner Johnny Hernandez; grandchildren, Jessica Hall and Drew Hille and wife Emily; great grandchildren, Nash Hall and Piper Hille; nephews, Kevin Goselin and wife Jennifer and Todd Goselin and wife Tana; nieces, Kathy Rushing and husband Randy, Susan Flannery and husband Craig, and Jamey Mitchell and husband Tim; several great nieces and great nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel (Grace) Jeffords; sister, Nancy Goselin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Lutheran Church of the Cross.
Memorials may be made in Norma’s name to Hospice of Southern Illinois, 305 South Illinois Street, Belleville, Illinois 62220.
Pallbearers will be Craig Flannery, Randy Rushing, Tim Mitchell, Todd Goselin, Kevin Goselin, and Johnny Hernandez.
