Noah S. Neace age 93 of Metropolis, IL passed away Sunday July 13, 2014 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilation Center at 10:40 a.m.Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Chuck Blair officiating. Mr. Neace was a WWII Navy Veteran.Noah is survived by 2 sons, Noah S. Neace Jr. and wife Cheryl of Henderson, NV and Gary W. Neace of Jefferson, TX; 4 grandchildren, Kevin Neace of Dallas, TX, Suzanne Neace of Webster, NY, Christopher Neace and wife Elizabeth of Las Vegas, NV, Dawn Saathoff of Reno, NV; 7 grandchildren, Tyler J. Neace, Kendall Neace, Ashley Saathoff, Brittany Saathoff, Noah K. Neace, Avery Neace, Taylor Neace, McKenzie Neace, and Brooklyn Neace; 1 sister, Alma Blair and husband Chuck of Clinton, KY; 1 brother, Charles Neace and wife Eula of Belvedere, IL; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Grace (Dorway) Neace; wife of over forty years, Doris Neace; and 8 brothers and sisters.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.Online Condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
