Nancy Carol King, 82 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. She was the third of four daughters born to Lilburn and Esther Clark on April 17, 1941.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in Hardmoney Baptist Church Cemetery in Boaz, KY.

Carol graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, Kenny King, on Christmas day of 1963. Carol worked at Allied Signal and Krueger & Henry Law Firm before she went to work and retired from the Massac Unit #1 school system as a librarian and teacher's aide after 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Metropolis and enjoyed golfing. Carol, who was also lovingly known to many as "Mimi", enjoyed loving on and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She was a beloved mother, mother-in-law, sister, Mimi and great Mimi who will be deeply missed.

Carol is survived by her children, Teri Russell and husband Larry of Paducah, KY; Jim King and wife Shannon of Columbia, TN and Becky Weber and husband Tim of Metropolis; grandchildren, Sam Mescher and husband Ben of Paducah, KY, JT Weber and wife Sarah of Carbondale, IL and Willow King of Columbia, TN; great grandchildren, Collins and Walt Mescher of Paducah, KY; sister, Betty Bailey of Reidland, KY; brother-in-law, Dale Wright of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lilburn and Esther (Cooper) Clark; husband, Kenny King; sisters, Jan Wright and Charlotte Clark.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Wednesday, October 25th at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ben Mescher, Ed Musselman, Tony Harris, Daniel Duncan, Tate Wright and Terry Foster.
