Mr. Miles A. Cohoon, age 83, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his residence.Masonic rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service in Pell Cemetery with military rites.Mr. Cohoon was an Army Veteran and a member of the VFW, the Bay City Masonic Lodge #771 and Past Master of the #232 Farmer's Lodge in Brookport.Miles is survived by his daughter, Belinda Thomas and husband Michael of Metropolis; son, David Cohoon of Brookport; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Thomas, Mackenzie Thomas, and Bradley Thomas.He was preceded in death by his parents, Carry and Pauline (Harris) Cohoon; wife, Mable Cohoon; 2 sons, Randy Cohoon and Steven Cohoon; 2 brothers, Bob Cohoon and Clarence Cohoon; 1 granddaughter, April Cohoon.Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
