Mr. Michael D. Owens, 30, of Brookport, IL, passed away on July 3, 2013, at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Aikins Farmer Brookport Chapel in Metropolis. Burial will follow at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Michael is survived by his father, Sam Owens of Brookport; mother, Sally (Joyner) Owens of Metropolis; daughter, Olivia Owens of Brookport; sister, Samantha Owens of Metropolis; nephew, Michael Cruz Owens, of Metropolis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.Friends may call to the Aikins Farmer Brookport Chapel on Wednesday, July 10, from noon until the funeral hour.
