Mr. Maurice Gilbert Pansing, age 71, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Baptist Health Paducah.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. Timothy A. Bean and Henderson Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow.Maurice is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Pansing of Metropolis; 3 children, Mirinda Shockley and husband Doug, Randy Pansing and wife Jennifer, and Lucinda Boyd all of Metropolis; 4 grandchildren, Dalton Shockley, Sydney Boyd, Camdyn Boyd, and Caleb Pansing; 1 sister, June Bunting of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Mabel (Meinders) Pansing; and 2 sisters, Elnor Bunting and Marlys Jane Pansing.There will be no visitation.
