Mr. Maurice Harmon, age 86, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on November 9, 2015 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.Graveside services with military rites will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the Anderson Cemetery. Burial will follow.Maurice was an Army Korean War Veteran.Maurice is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sarah Harmon of Metropolis; one son, Brian Harmon and wife Brandee of Metropolis; one daughter, Melissa Harmon of Metropolis; three grandchildren, Justin Harmon of Seguin, TX, Lenzee Castaneda of Paducah, and Jaden Castaneda of Metropolis; one great-granddaughter, McKynlee Castaneda; two sisters, Mozelle Austin of Hobe Sound, FL and Mary King of Valparaiso, IN.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Vidus (Adams) Harmon; four brothers, Dewey Harmon Jr., Melvin Harmon, Robert Harmon, and Gale Harmon; one granddaughter, McKenzee Castaneda.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
