Mary Sobat, age 63 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Family burial services will be held in Gilead Cemetery near Simpson, Illinois.

Mary was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry Latham; daughter, Mary Brown and husband John; sons, Michael Sobat and Jeffrey Sobat; grandchildren, Camellia Cornwell, Gabrielle Cornwell, Caleb Sullivan, Jackson Brown, Kemberly Barrett; sisters, Katherine Brown and Lora Bradford; several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Dorothy (Mahan) Sobat; grandchild, Austin Sullivan; brother, Nickey Sobat.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home. Due to current health and safety directives with COVID-19, we ask that all who are in attendance to practice social distancing and to wear a mask.
