Mrs. Mary Louise Rehlmeyer, age 91 of Metropolis, IL passed away at 8:01 am on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis. Todd Sumner will officiate. Burial will follow in the Round Springs Cemetery.Mary had worked as a seamstress at Normandy Frocks and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Metropolis, Women of ELCA, had delivered Meals on Wheels, and volunteered at COPE Food Pantry and Good Samaritan Nursing Home.Mary is survived by her son, Fred Rehlmeyer and wife Debbie; grandson, Brad Rehlmeyer and wife Shannon; step granddaughter, Kimberly Lang and husband Junior; great grandchildren, Stefan Dru Rehlmeyer, Logan Lang, and Bryn Aubin Rehlmeyer all of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Hattie (Rodenberg) Laird; husband, Albert M. Rehlmeyer; sisters, Mae Miller, Ruby Kommer, Aline Gowins, and Velma Sumner; brothers, Roy Laird, Loren Laird, and Paul Laird.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 9 am until 11 am at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis.Memorials may be made to the Round Springs Cemetery, C/O Stephen Miller, 1128 Country Club Road, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.Music will be provided by Karol Schmidt.Pallbearers will be Stefan Rehlmeyer, Brad Rehlmeyer, Natalie Harris, Everett Purcell, Junior Lang, and Todd Sumner.
