Mrs. Mary Reeves Jones, age 84, of Grand Chain, IL, passed away at 11:05 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis with Rev. Ben Hottel officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery.Mary was a member of Hillerman Baptist Church and worked at the Cairo Evening Citizen as a typesetter and then at Shawnee Community College in the cafeteria.Mary is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Moss and husband Randy of Grand Chain; three sons, Mike Jones and wife Sherry of Millersville, MO, Dennis Jones and wife Donna of Grand Chain, and Clifford Alan Jones of Danville, AR; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Cathy Jones of Grand Chain; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth (Lay) Reeves; husband, Clyde Clifford Jones; one son, Martin Jones; two sisters, Virginia Lemon and Betty Davenport; two brothers, John and Lawrence Reeves.Visitation will be held Friday evening, November 20, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.Memorial contributions may be given to the Hillerman Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 4197 Hillerman Road Grand Chain, IL 62941.Pallbearers: Joey Meyer, Matt Jones, Dennis Jones Jr., Shane Jones, Brad Jones, Kevin JonesOnline condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
