Mary Rose Jacobs, 85, of Metropolis, IL, died at 4:58 pm on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Mary was a business woman in Metropolis for many years and of the Catholic faith.

Mary is survived by her husband William Jacobs of Metropolis; one daughter, Tammy Vanechten and husband Frank of Riverside, CA; one son, Michael Jacobs and wife Kelly of Metropolis; five grandchildren, Brandon Vanechten of Riverside, CA, Michael Jacobs Jr. of Metropolis, Matthew Jacobs of Camp Lajeune, NC, Drew Jacobs of Metropolis; and Emily West of Calhoun, KY; four great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Rita Jacobs of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter McRoy and Teresa Rose Ayler; son, Kenneth C. "KC" Jacobs and one granddaughter, Connie Jacobs.

Visitation will be held from 11 am until the funeral hour at noon on Wednesday, December 26th at the Miller-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
