Mary (Lang) Hicks

Mary (Lang) Hicks, 73 of Golconda, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at her home.

Per her request, there will be no services.

Mary was retired from Lourdes Hospital as a Monitor Tech. She loved being outdoors, watching and refilling her hummingbird feeders, sipping on a Pepsi and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her children, Melinda McNeely (John), Jacke Hicks, and Crystal Hicks; grandchildren, Courtney Duncan (Josh), Kayla Cornwell, Lindsey Hicks, Kyle McNeely (Hope), and Logan Hicks; 8 great grandchildren; brother, William Lang; loving companion of 8 years, Clifford Harvill; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Bella and Gracie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ruby (Hensley) Lang; husband, Jack Hicks; infant son, Brian Hicks; and siblings, Linda Rickman, Billie Joe Lang, and Robert “Stud” Lang.
