**Due to a pastoral delay visitation will be extended from 9 am to 11:45 am with the funeral service following at 12 noon**

Marvin Ellerbusch, 83 of Metropolis, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Baptist Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 11, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah, KY. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Metropolis.

Marvin was retired from EEI and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Paducah. He enjoyed fishing, being on the farm and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marvin is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Diane Ellerbusch; sons, Jerry Ellerbusch and wife Carol and Michael Ellerbusch and wife Erin; grandchildren, Reece Ellerbusch and wife Sarah, Paige Day and husband Nicholas, Ethan Ellerbusch and Ava Ellerbusch; great grandchildren, Henry Ellerbusch, Beckett Day, and Mave Day; nieces and nephews, Debbie Reagor (Bill), Ben Schmidt (Gloria), Eddie Schmidt, Charlie Schmidt, Janet Burnett (Randy), Joyce Melcher (Bill), and Steve Ellerbusch (Dena); several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lydia Ellerbusch; sister and brother-in-law, Velma Lee and Adlia Schmidt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Mildred Ellerbusch and Norman and Barbara Ellerbusch; niece-in-law, Brenda Schmidt.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Monday, August 11th at the church.

Memorials may be given in Marvin's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Pallbearers will be Reece Ellerbusch, Ethan Ellerbusch, Nicholas Day, Kirk Burnett, Dennis Burnett, and Ben Schmidt.

Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
