Marvin Ray Bradley, age 48 of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away at 2:54 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah.Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois. Bro. Joe Curlee will officiate.Marvin was born to his parents, Jesse and Pearley Bradley in Chicago, Illinois on March 11, 1965. He graduated from high school in Joppa, Illinois in 1983. He married Darla Grothman on September 16, 1989. He worked as a fork lift operator at various businesses in Paducah, Kentucky and most recently as a shipping and receiving manager at Vasco. He was a member of the Metropolis congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He enjoyed sharing his faith with others. He also enjoyed many outdoor activities. He had a kind heart and loved to make people smile.Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Jesse in 1984.Marvin is survived by his wife of 24 years, Darla of Metropolis, IL; his mother, Pearley of Metropolis, IL; three brothers, Wendell and wife Jane of Joppa, IL, Roger of IL, Carl and wife Heather of Unionville, IL; two sisters, Gwen Bradley of St. Louis, MO and Marla Pass and husband Leroy of Metropolis, IL; two nieces, Diamond and Symone Pass of Metropolis, IL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis, Illinois.Memorials may be made to the Metropolis congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, P.O.
