Mr. Marshall Laird, 89, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on March 23, 2016 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Community Christian Church in Metropolis with Rev. Mike Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens with military rites. Marshall was a member of the Community Christian Church in Metropolis and a WWII Army veteran. Marshall is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie Tebelak and Cindy Linson; four grandchildren, Ashli Jo Morris and husband Timmy, Heather Clark and husband Aaron, Jeremiah Linson, and Joshua Linson; one nephew, Loren Edward Russell; six great grandchildren, Khyli Jo, Korbyn, Adylee, Anselam, Declan, and Mahalia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy K. Laird; parents, Ott and Leona Russell as well as several other family members. Visitation for the family will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Community Christian Church on Saturday, March 26, 2016.
