Margaret Heflin, age 76 of   Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 11:09 am on Saturday, December 1, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on Sept. 2, 1943 to Ernest C. and Myrtle Cole Carnes, who preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home   on Thursday Dec. 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brenda Rust and Rev. Randy Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Margaret is survived by one daughter, Connie Becker and husband Stephen, one son, Jack Heflin Jr., two grandchildren, Dwight Rogers and wife Cassie of Lone Oak, KY, and Monica Robbins and husband Joshua of Metropolis, IL.; 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; one sister, Roberta Fletcher and husband Bobby and one brother, Ernest Carnes and wife Vicki, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Heflin; Sisters, Pauline Scroggins, Frieda Carnes, and brothers Kenneth and Freddie Carnes, Elton Hendrix and one infant brother.

Visitation will be held on Thursday Dec. 5, 2019 from 11 a.m. to the funeral hour at 2 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
