Mrs. Marcie Lynn (Comer) Woods, age 62, of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away at 11:17 am on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Ivan Woods officiating. A committal service will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Marcie worked for the United States Postal Service in Metropolis for most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Metropolis.

Marcie is survived by her husband, Mike Woods; son, Miles Woods and wife Desi; one grandson, Nate Woods; four granddaughters, Mya Woods, Zoey Brinker, Drew Brinker, and Lucy Brinker; mother, Delores Comer; sister, Michelle Grace and husband Larry and their children, Marcus Grace, Luke Grace and Lindsay Grace; several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Comer; daughter, Mandy Michelle; grandparents, Carl and Flo Stamme and William and Nellie Comer.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, September 20, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
