Marcia (Hatfield) Little, age 89, of Joppa, Illinois, entered Heaven at 1:06 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Massac Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Tammy Horn officiating. Burial will follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Marcia retired from the United States Post Office in Metropolis and was a member of Joppa United Methodist Church. She volunteered for many years with the American Cancer Society and was known for her kind heart and friendly spirit. Marcia never met a stranger and cherished the relationships she built throughout her life. She loved to travel and loved gospel music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great-grandchildren, Logan, Kaden, and Ella, whose lives brought her endless pride, laughter, and love.
Marcia is survived by her daughter, Paula Childers and husband Jim; granddaughters, Patricia Steckenrider and husband Stephen, and Tracy Darnell and husband Caleb; great-grandchildren, Logan Steckenrider, Kaden Steckenrider, and Ella Steckenrider; sister, Rosemary Terry; and several nieces and nephews.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Ella Mae (Rush) Hatfield; her husband, Paul L. Little; and her brother, Harvey Hatfield.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in Marcia's name to the Massac Memorial Hospital Foundation, 28 Chick Street, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
Pallbearers will be Bill Hatfield, Todd Hatfield, Pete Hatfield, Stephen Steckenrider, Logan Steckenrider, and Kaden Steckenrider.
