Marcella June Karraker Kelley was born June 22, 1926 in Dongola, IL. She passed away June 5, 2014 in Brentwood, TN.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Aikins Farmer Funeral Home with Rev. Matthew Kelley and Rev. Dr. Calvin Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. She is survived by sons Lloyd and wife Debbie of Brentwood, TN and Kevin and wife Sheila of Metropolis, IL; three grandsons, Matthew and wife Jessica, Andrew and wife Alexis, and Karson Kelley; 1 step-grandson, Aaron Clark and wife Courtney; 2 step-granddaughters, Carly Eskridge and husband Austin and Hailey Burnham; four great grandchildren, Kate, Jack, Claire, and Ben Kelley; 4 step-great grandchildren, Keaton Clark, Hudson and Harrison Burnham, and Emerson Eskridge; and one sister Patricia Frye.She was preceded in death by husband, Norval; son, Wayne; parents, Charles and Mabel Karraker; one sister, Annabelle; and 3 brothers, Lowell, Leo, and Richard. She was a telephone operator during WWII. During that time, she was a loving and faithful supporter of two brothers, Richard and Leo, and sweetheart Norval, all of whom served in combat.She married that sweetheart, Norval Kelley, July 5, 1947.Her life was highlighted by her unconditional love of family, especially children and grandchildren.
