Mandy Michelle (Woods) Brinker, age 37 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 7:30 am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Ivan Woods will officiate. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Mandy was a teacher with the Massac County Unit #1 School District and a member of Waldo Baptist Church. Mandy is survived by her parents, Mike and Marcie (Comer) Woods; daughters, Zoey Elizabeth Brinker, Drew Riley Brinker, Lucy Mae Brinker; grandmother, Delores Comer; brother, Miles Woods and wife Desi; nephew, Nate Woods and niece, Mya Woods all of Metropolis; aunts and uncles, Randy Woods and wife Pam of Brookport, Ivan Woods and wife Mae, Pam Suggs and husband John, Michelle Grace and husband Larry all of Metropolis; several cousins and friends. Mandy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darkus Glen Woods, Shirley Woods Thompson, and Sherman Lee Comer; uncle, Glenn Woods; aunt, Lisa Sommer; cousin, Ashley Stafford. Visitation will be held on Monday evening January 16, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.
