Mrs. Lucinda Ruth Smock, age 63, of Brookport, IL, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at Baptist Health of Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Aikins Farmer Brookport Funeral Chapel. Rev. Tim Pearcy and B.J. Lampley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Pell Cemetery.Lucinda was a member of the First Christian Church in Brookport and an RN at Western Baptist for 30 years.Lucinda is survived by her husband, Harley (Buddy) Smock of Brookport; son, Richard W. Sparks of Brookport; granddaughter, Hali Ann Sparks of Draffenville, KY; 2 brothers, Jimmy Nix and wife Barbara and Bobby Nix and wife Cheryl both of Brookport; cousin, Georgeann Ludwig of Bonneville, IN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James "Ikie" and Ruby (Phillips) Nix; her grandparents, Robert C. and Ruth Nix and Albert and Verbie Phillips.Friends may call to the Aikins Farmer Brookport Chapel on Wednesday, August 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.Memorials may take the form of contributions to Project Hope P.O.
