Lindolph Croft, age 85 of Grantsburg, IL passed away at 8:30 am on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Forthman officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Lindolph is a member of the New Hope Baptist Church since 1943. He retired from Electric Energy Inc. and was a full time farmer. Lindolph is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sarah Ellen Croft of Grantsburg, IL; children, Lawanda Fondaw of Grantsburg, IL, Lindell Croft and wife Earlene of Vienna, IL, Wesley Matthew Croft and friend Evon of the Mermet Community, Brandon Todd Miller of Paducah, KY; 3 grandchildren, Shelly Greer, Thaddeus Croft and wife Kim, and Tori Aul and husband Aaron; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Croft and wife Sue; ½ sister, Doris Howell and husband Bob; ½ brother, Bobby Mahan and wife Patty; several nieces and nephews. Lindolph was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny William & Genevieve (Inman) Croft; and 2 granddaughters, Dawn Walter and Leighelle Croft. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9 am until 11 am at the New Hope Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 6804 New Columbia Road, Belknap, Illinois 62908. Pallbearers will be Steven McNichols, Clayton Walter, Thaddeus Croft, Aaron Aul, Wesley Croft, Brandon Miller, and Nick Walquist. Music will be provided by Ann Burton and Patty Hunerkoch.
