Lindell J. Wehrmeier age 95 of Brookport, IL Passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at 9:11 a.m. at the Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis, IL. He was born February 18, 1920 on his farm where he lived and farmed all of his life. He was the son of Edward and Lydia Anna (Korte) Wehrmeier, who preceded him in death.Lindell is survived by 3 children, Sharon Phillips and husband David of Ashburn, VA; Barbara Henson and husband Richard of Symsonia, KY and Lynn Wehrmeier and wife Tammie of Metropolis, IL; One sister, Mary Helen Bremer of Florissant, MO; Seven grandchildren, LeeAnn McAraw and husband Sean, Michael Phillips and wife Lydia, Derrick Legereit, Daron Legereit, Chad Legereit, Staci Barger and husband Charlie and Joshua Wehrmeier and wife Samantha; Seven Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Maxine Wehrmeier brother, Leon Wehrmeier. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the European Theater during World War II. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the St. John's Church on Waldo Church Rd. with Pastor Joshua Wehrmeier and Rev. Jon Cockrel officiating, with burial in the Church cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites.Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home and Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour.Pall bearers----Sean McAraw, Derrick Legereit, Daron Legereit, Chad Legereit, Charlie Barger, Michael Phillips.Honorary Pall Bearersa
