Lindell R. "Cuz" Kommer, age 76 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 4:32 pm on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Massac Memorial Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 10 am to 11 am at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis. Burial will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Metropolis. Lindell was retired from Millwright Local 1080 out of Paducah, KY. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Lindell is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy (Williams) Kommer of Metropolis; daughter, Reita McCoy of Metropolis; son, Mike Kommer and wife Dianne of Metropolis; grandson, Jason Kommer of Vienna; step grandchildren, Melissa Elam of Metropolis, Heidi Schierbaum of Metropolis, Wes McCoy of Metropolis, Cory McCoy of Sevierville, TN; several great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Pogue and Donna Culver both of Metropolis; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Randy Harris of Brookport.
