Ms. Linda May, age 73, of Metropolis, IL, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Massac Memorial Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Lunsford officiating. Special music will be provided by Rick Leek. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.Linda was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God. She was employed by the Massac County Unit 1 School District for 30 years as secretary at the Metropolis High School, Massac County High School and then secretary at the Massac County Unit 1 Superintendent's Office until her retirement in 2000.Linda is survived by a special granddaughter, Taylin Lewis; one aunt; several cousins, many friends; and her animals, six cats and two dogs.She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Estaleta (Taylor) May.Expressions of sympathy may be given to Lighthouse Assembly of God 670 Airport Road Metropolis, IL 62960 or Project Hope PO Box 125 Metropolis, IL 62960.
