Linda J. Blankenship, age 73, passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at her residence.Graveside services will be at 1:00 p .m. on Friday, August 2, 2013 in the Joppa I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Peter Duley will officiate.Linda is survived by 1 daughter, Rachel Carnes of Metropolis; 2 grandsons, Michael Zervas II of Indianapolis, IN, Kyle Zervas of Paducah, KY; 1 great-grandson, Kaden Zervas; 2 sisters, Jacqueline Caccioppo of Chicago, IL, and Johnnie Demarco and husband Vincent of Joppa, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Evelyn (Hurt) Harris; husband, Alvin Blankenship; son, Michael Zervas; daughter, Terri Zervas; grandson, Matthew Zervas; sister, Theresa Roman; 2 nephews, Phillip Demarco, Matthew Knowles.Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Aikins Farmer Funeral Home.
