Leon J. Harrawood age 78 of Energy, IL passed away Tuesday Sept. 17, 2013 at the Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, IL after a long illness. He was the son of Elzie and Minnie Rose (Erlbacher) Harrawood. He married Barbara Nell Medley, daughter of Harold and Lydia H. (Buchanan) Medley in 1963, and was approaching 50 years of marriage.Funeral services will be Friday Sept. 20, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Brookport Chapel, Burial will follow in the Mt. Sterling cemetery.Besides his wife Barbara , he is survived by one daughter, Tonya Rose Rock and husband John; three grandchildren, Jessica N. Glaze, James W. Glaze and Jason M. Glaze; one great granddaughter, Saige Gloriana Hock; 2 sisters, Margaret (Maggie) Giasson and Georgiana (JoAnn) Littlemyer several nieces and nephews and close friends, including a special group at Herrin McDonalds.He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Elzie J. Eddie R. Larry D., Garry R Harrawood; two sisters, Shirley R. Johnson and Dorothy J. Wolford.Leon worked for Azzarelli Construction and Owned H & H Auto Body of Kankakee, IL; He loved spending time with his grandchildren, he liked to hunt and fish and buy and sell cars that he had worked on.
