Leon Blye, age 44 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 4:54 pm on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022 at Baptist Health Paducah.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, August 11th, 2022 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Cofield officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Leon was born in Cairo, IL and attended Joppa high school. Leon was known for being one of the "twin towers "and was a true basketball star. Leon spent almost 10 years of his life living in Buffalo, NY and traveling the world. Leon attended IT tech while in Buffalo, NY.

Leon was known as a vibrant happy person and was full of life. Leon was very diverse in his many hobbies.  He enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, and playing basketball.

Leon is survived by his mother, Frances Blye; father, Everett Porter; two children, Kobe and Kyra Blye; his twin brother, Deon Blye and his children Jordon, Cylas, and Traven; his sister, Crystal Blye and her children Davontay, Keanna, and Zion; his brother, Herman Blye and his children, India, Sharice, and Ella; his brother, Darius Blye and wife Joellen and their children Elijah, Hallie, and Mira; and great nieces Kayden and Braxton.

Leon was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Hazel Ogden; maternal grandmother, Annie Calhoun; uncle, Jewel Curmble and many friends.
