Lawanda Sue Ann Richardson Bennett, age 42 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:40 am on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Massac Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday February 15, 2016 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Edwin Bates will officiate. There will not be a burial.Lawanda attended World of Pentecost Church in Metropolis.She is survived by her husband, Danny Bennett; parents, Gary and Deena (Mathis) Witt; children, Britany N. Augustus, Jordan L. Pannell, Ralph Richardson, Brooklyn M. Bennett, Lovely J. Bennett, and Cecil M. Bennett all of Metropolis; stepsons, Conner R. and Alexander W. Bennett of Benton, IL; grandchildren, Alysia N. Augustus, Taylen C. Augustus, and Cyrinity S.S. Augustus all of Metropolis; step sisters, Sabrina Walker and husband Jeff of Bandana, KY and Rhonda Witt of Marion, IL; step brother, James Witt of FL; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Lois Mathis and Edwin and Betty Witt; sister, Patricia Ramey.Visitation will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 2141 West White Oaks Drive, Suite A, Springfield, Illinois 62704
