Lana J. McHaney, 76 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Lourdes Mercy Health Paducah.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Bro. David Wright and Bro. Tom Quimby officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Lana was a member of Joppa Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed crafting and was an avid reader. Her favorite pastime though, was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lana is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phillip McHaney; four children, Kent McHaney and wife Christine, Deidra Fondren and husband Bryan, Phillip McHaney II and wife Bethany, and Daniel McHaney and wife Jamie; 10 grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Timmy Johnson, Hope Leathers, Damon McHaney, Matt McHaney, Alisha McHaney, Josh McHaney, Nate McHaney, Kylie Parker and Chloe Parker; 10 great grandchildren, Conner McHaney, Cameron McHaney, Madelyn McHaney, Andrew Leathers, Atlas McHaney, Natalie Johnson, Skyler Johnson, Oliver Johnson, Amelia McHaney, and Miles Johnson; sister, Connie Hughes; sister-in-law, Sue Modglin and husband Jim; 2 nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell and Margaret Jean (Jerdon) Throgmorton; 1 niece, Lisa Crabtree; and brother-in-law, Robert Hughes.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21st, at the funeral home.
