Mr. Kenneth Lee Girtman, age 88, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tom Emmerson officiating. There will be no visitation. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery. Kenneth was of the Baptist faith. Kenneth is survived by his sons, Brad Girtman and wife Miriam and Chuck Girtman and wife Donna; four grandchildren, Sam Girtman, Travis Girtman, Ben Girtman and wife Kayla, and Kristin Calhoun and husband Daniel; two great grandchildren, Sydney and Bennett Girtman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Etta Girtman; wife, Laura Girtman; one brother and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society 4503 W.
