Ms. Katie Marie Forney, age 22, of Metropolis, IL passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.

Ms. Forney was employed at the Baymont hotel and enjoyed watching and taking pictures of the sunset. She was of the Christian faith.

Katie is survived by her parents, Judy and Ron Zaragossa; one brother, Logan Zaragossa; grandmothers, Teresa Johnson and Julie Zaragossa; several cousins, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kasey Forney; three grandfathers, Ron Zaragossa Sr., James Sumnlers Sr. and Steve Johnson.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the funeral at 1pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
