Katherine Neftzger, age 99 of Brookport, Illinois passed away at 12:15 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Graveside services will be held at 11am on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Pell Cemetery. Rev. David Siere will officiate. Katherine was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Brookport where she was active in WMU. She was also a member of the Massac Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the Brookport Women's Club. Katherine is survived by her daughter, Kaye Pryor of Brookport, IL; son, Richard Neftzger and wife Glenda of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, John Pryor and wife Kym of Brookport, IL, Tyra Neftzger and wife Amy of Dublin, Ireland, Bradley Belt and wife Robyn of Paducah, KY; great grandchildren, Shelby Pryor of Shepardsville, KY, Whitney Belt and Austin Belt of Paducah, KY, Clara Mueller of Boston, MA, and Ethan Mueller of Nashville, TN; one sister-in-law, Norma Lee Neftzger of St. Louis, MO; several nieces and nephews. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Edna Copeland Lytton; husband, Tyra Neftzger; son, Don Lytton Neftzger; son-in-law, T.J. Pryor. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening August 10, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Brookport Funeral Home.
