Karen "Diane" Hike, 79 of New Columbia, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Calvert City, KY. She was born on February 12, 1943 in Trenton, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd and Valeria Jane (Teague)Wiley.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Steve Karraker officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.

Diane worked for Teco Barge Line before retirement and was a member of Metropolis Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading and researching about the Civil War.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Kelli Coates of New Columbia, IL; three grandchildren, Chester Nelson IV of St Peters, MO, Bailey Coates of Lubbock, TX and Logan Coates of New Columbia, IL; one sister, Gail Barry (Tom) of Cedar Rapids, IA; one brother, Duane Wiley of Newport, MI; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Chester Nelson III.

A visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 noon on Saturday, November 12th at the funeral home.
