Mrs. Joyce Light, age 76, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, at her residence.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at the Community Christian Church with Rev. Mike Hardison officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Joyce was a member of the Community Christian Church and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Lodge 217 in Watseka, IL. Joyce is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harlan Light of Metropolis; four children, Tim Light, Lori Duncan, Troy Light, and Trent Light all of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Chance Light, Tyler Duncan, Jennilee Duncan, Seth Light, Lindsey Stoner and husband Blakely, and Dalton Light and Brittany Burd all of Metropolis; two great-grandchildren, Conner and Bryer Duncan; and one great-grandson to be, Eastyn Light.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Helen (Mowrey) Andrew.Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Christian Church.Expressions of sympathy may be given to the Community Christian Church 1150 Country Club Road Metropolis, IL 62960.Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Online condolences may be left at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
