Joy Holder, 59, of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Baptist Health Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Metropolis with Rev. Shalom Renner officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens. Joy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Metropolis, and drove a bus for B & S Bus Service and most recently Southern Seven. Joy is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ted Holder; mother, Alice Pollard; three children, Jason Holder and wife Brandi, Jared Holder, and Jaclyn Holder; two grandchildren, Lola and Reese; one sister, Dixie Hunerkoch and husband Earl; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Pollard; sister, Jacqueline Pollard.Visitation will be held on Friday evening, February 12, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Metropolis.Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the camp that Jaclyn attends, Wonderland Camp 18591 Miller Circle Rocky Mount, MO 65072.
