John Dale Raney

John Dale Raney, age 60 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.

John worked as a Telecommunicator at Corner Stone in Hopkinsville, KY. He was a member of the Powers Methodist Church for a very long time. He loved riding around on his 2003 Dyna Wide Glide Harley. He especially loved spending time with his sons and family.

John is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Ellan Raney; sons, John Dale Ramsey Raney, Samuel Allan Raney, Bradly Wright and Brandon Bell; sisters, Ronda Finke and Barbara Mars; brother, Eric Raney; nephews, Darren Raney, Gavin Raney and Shawn Raney; nieces, Kayla Dunn and Erica Raney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Edwin and Joy Elaine (Bright) Raney.
