Mr. John L. Livesay, age 79, of Brookport, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in Paducah, KY.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2015, in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jon Cockrel officiating. Mr. Livesay was of Methodist Faith and attended First United Methodist Church in Metropolis. John enjoyed duck hunting, fishing and gardening and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.John is survived by his wife, Fern Livesay of Brookport; daughter, Phyllis Long of Paducah, KY; sons, John P. Livesay and wife Cynthia of Metropolis, and Charles Livesay and wife Robin of Ledbetter, KY; 1 sister, Rachel Ann Kelley of Marion, AR; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Willis and Martha Leona (Malone) Livesay; 1st wife, Doris Wave (Holt) Livesay; 1 granddaughter, Ali Nicole Long.
