John William Klaas, 53 of Joppa, IL, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Joppa Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. David Wright officiating.

John was a member of Joppa Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed old cars and watching TV, especially Walker, Texas Ranger.

John is survived by his wife of almost 23 years, Sharon Klaas; siblings, Rex Klaas, Letha Klaas, Charles Klaas, and Bobby Klaas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Marie Gibbs Jr.; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Shirley Klaas.
