John F. Cochran, 62 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his residence.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

John was a retired mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and pet lover, especially of his cats. John enjoyed spending time with family and friends and will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his siblings, Patty Cochran of Tolono, IL, Pamela Alrandi of Metropolis, Faye Wrye of Metropolis, Danny Cochran and wife Kim of Paducah, KY and Richard Cochran of Paducah, KY; honorary brother and sister, Dale and Teresa Averitt of Troy, MO; brother-in-law, John Guynn; sister-in-law, Lesa Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Dorothy (Barger) Cochran; one sister, Joyce Guynn; one brother, Larry Cochran.

Arrangements were entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis.
