Mr. John C. Anderson, Jr., age 86 of Metropolis, IL formerly of El Paso, TX passed away at 9:09 am on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Massac Memorial Hospital.Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the IOOF Cemetery in Metropolis. Ivan Woods will officiate. John had previously worked at McDonald's in Reidland, KY. He was a member of the First Church of God in Metropolis and the Universal Quartet Association. He served in the US Army during World War II.John is survived by his caretaker, Lisa Sommer of Metropolis, IL.John was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eve Anderson; and 3 brothers.Visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis, IL.
