Mr. Joe Sharp, age 53, of Hillerman, IL, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Baptist Health Paducah.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Metropolis First Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Louis Brinker, Bro. Cliff Easter, and Rev. Terry Mathis officiating.Joe was a member of Metropolis First Baptist Church.Joe is survived by his wife of 34 years, Debbie Sharp; two sons, Josh Sharp and wife Laken of Hillerman and Ricky Sharp of Metropolis; mother, Helen Sharp of Hillerman; one brother, Ken Sharp and wife Joanne of Marion, IL; two nieces and one nephew.He was preceded in death by his father, Loren "Sandy" Sharp.The family asks for expressions of sympathy to be made to the Iron Horse Community Church c/o Metropolis First Baptist Church 307 Massac Creek Road Metropolis, IL 62960. The former associate pastor of this motorcycle church and Joe's best friend, Bubba Carlisle, sadly preceded him in death.
