Jimmie Dale Holley, age 66 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 1:39 am on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Baptist Health Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis. Ron Gulley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Jimmie was retired, with over 25 years of service, from the City of Metropolis. He was a member of the Park Street Church of Christ in Metropolis.Jimmie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anna (Sweitzer) Holley of Metropolis, IL; 2 daughters, Lisa Werner and husband Kevin of Brookport, IL and Karen Jones and husband Chris of Grantsburg, IL; 2 sons, James Holley and wife Lisa of Lawrenceburg, IN and William "Billy" Holley and wife Julie of Metropolis, IL; 6 grandchildren, Ashley and Kyle Holley, Jared Medley and fiancé Madelynne Patton, Dalton Werner, Adam Jones and wife Emily, and Jason Holley; 2 great granddaughters, Emma and Macii Medley; 1 sister, Debra Lewis and husband Gary of Metropolis, IL; several nieces and nephews.Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Shirley (Ogden) Holley.Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.Memorials may be made to Park Street Church of Christ, c/o Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home, P.O.
