Ms. Jerri A. Taylor Browne, age 76, of Metropolis, IL, passed on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Jerri was a resident of Metropolis, IL. She graduated from Metropolis High School in 1962 and was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she served as church secretary for several years.

Jerri was married twice and had two sons.  Her first marriage, she was united to Glendor Taylor and they had one son, Robert G. Taylor.  In her second marriage, she was united to Clarence "Skipper" Browne and they had one son as well, Monty E. Browne.

Jerri held several different jobs throughout her life, with the last being a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah. Jerri loved her sons and all things related to the nursing profession.

Jerri is survived by her two sons, Robert G. Taylor of Metropolis, IL, Monty E. Browne and wife Erica of Los Angeles, CA; one grandson, Adrian Browne of Los Angeles, CA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert McCutcheon and Helen Ledsinger; her grandmother, Libbie Adams; her uncle, RC Evans; and her aunt, Opal Morris.

It was Jerri's wish to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
